Sri Lankan apartment block to be world's tallest vertical garden

Clearpoint Residencies, based in Kotte just
outside Colombo, will be the first sustainable high-rise apartment
complex in the country, with solar panels for electricity generation, a
waste water recycling system and planted facades. Building began last
year and is expected to be complete by 2016, at which time it is claimed
that the building will be, "the tallest residential vertical garden in
the world, with planted terraces circling the entire structure." Read More

self-driving cars is that they are able to communicate between each
other and surrounding infrastructure. While automotive manufacturers
have begun to explore this technology and even banded together
to hasten its emergence, the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute has
been quietly working toward a similar goal. With the an award of US$1
million in funding courtesy of the US Department of Transportation, its
researchers hope to develop a framework to facilitate a safe future for

2014 with a 4.5 kg weight reduction, new instruments and a set of
continuous-compound Continental SportAttack2 tires. In most other

is identical to last year's model though it now meets EU regulations
